Homecoming Food Drive

Cary High is leading a food drive at our October 9 Homecoming game against Athens. PLEASE SUPPORT US BY BRINGING YOUR CANNED GOODS AND NON-PERISHABLE DONATIONS TO THE GAME. On Oct. 9, the Cary High football team will compete against Athens Drive on and off the field in the first-ever Friday Night Food Drive - the official kickoff event of Food Lion Hunger Relief Day at the N.C. State Fair. Bring your canned goods and non-perishable food items to the game and show your support for our Imps. Everyone who donates a food item will be entered to win a State Fair Family Prize Pack, which includes admission tickets, ride sheets and State Fair gear. The school that collects the most food wins! The school that collects the most food will be announced during the State Fair Media Day on Monday, October 12. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler will also honor the winning school at a special recognition ceremony on Hunger Relief Day, Thursday, October 22 at the State Fair. Collected food will be donated to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and distributed to needy people and hunger-relief agencies in a 34-county area surrounding Raleigh. |
